This hundred-year-old wheelhouse was once home to the captain who brought our ship to safe harbors. We converted it into an apartment on the water, a ten-minute walk from the center of Ghent and close to Dampoort station. The space Shower in a floating bathroom deep in the belly of the ship. Cook with views of green trees and high quays, drink coffee in the picturesque neighborhood café across the water, or follow the river to the historic heart of Ghent. Through the portholes you can see swans gliding past and at the original steering wheel you dine like a captain. Guest access You have access to the entire wheelhouse and all outdoor spaces. We live in another part of the houseboat ourselves. The access to the wheelhouse is private, so you don't have to run into anyone. Other things to note On request, we will bring your breakfast in bed, and you can use our boat to explore the Ghent waters.

“Wil je een unieke ervaring? Kies dan voor deze bnb! Dit omgebouwde vrachtschip dat stabiel in de gracht ligt biedt zoveel! Uitzicht over het water, voor een kajuit ruime slaapkamer en prima badkamer, met zijn houten en stalen afwerken. De keuken is toereikend en buiten is een schattig zitplaatsje en de loungebank waar je zeker ook mag vertoeven. Om bij het slaapgedeelte en badkamer te komen moet je je inderdaad even door een klein trappengat bewegen maar dat hadden we verwacht en was dus geen probleem. De host is relaxed en vriendelijk. De afstand tot centrum en station is maar 10 minuten wandelen. Gent is een bruisende stad waar we in een weekend van alles hebben gezien en gehoord (straattheater, openlucht symfonisch concert, monument bezocht, bioscoopje gepakt).”
